RMF produces naturally raised meats, eggs and mushrooms. All of the vegetables are grown on orgainc land and are fertilized with on farm composted manures.The products that are produced are free of any additives. The lambs are born and raised under my care and thrive on grass, mountain forage and hay in the winter. Feeder piglets will be purchased from a local farm at weaning and placed on pasture to roam and root as pigs do.The flock of laying hens are happy campers(they live in a camper at night) Are housed at night to protect them from the many predators native to the mountains of western North Carolina. The New Zealand rabbits are fed vegetables from the garden in the spring, summer,fall and are fed forage based pellets that are non-medicated in the winter. Shiitake mushrooms are log grown and are nestled by a quickly running brook that travels through a grove of mature pines that shade the logs from the sun.
