A quick note to inform you that the website has been updated. The changes are subtle; most you won't notice, but here are a few you should:
- The picture on the about page has been changed to show off my new mule, Big Jim, standing beside my dad.
- We are out of turkeys this year already! Thanks to those who purchased them from me, and I promise to have some ready for next year.
- You can now be notified instantly of updates via Bloglines (http://www.bloglines.com). The feed to enter in Bloglines is http://www.rosemountainfarm.com. Download the notifier, and it will alert you when I've updated (and anyone else you subscribe to, too!)
- I have decided not to become USDA certified organic because of their recent rulings, which are summarized here: http://www.organicconsumers.org/sos.cfm
- Dr. Jane Goodall has a new book out, called Harvest for Hope, a Guide to Mindful Eating. In it she discusses organics, buying local, and sustainability. It can also be found on Amazon and Half.com.
- I've added apple cider vinegar to the store for $2.00/12oz. bottle
- Sauerkraut is available for $3.00 quart in the online store.
- Spiced and Vanilla Applebutters are still available, as is the Pumpkin Butter. (see next post)
- If you wish to order spring poultry or fall turkeys, please email me (ann [at] rosemountainfarm [DOT] com) your intent with 20 percent down for orders as soon as possible, so I don't run out next year!
